In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. The master class I attended hosted by percussionist and music composer Ney Rosauro was the final inspiration that launched me into my journey as a music creator. His music and personal story birthed the desire to create that fuels me to this day. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Ichika Nito, forn - EP Jacob Collier, In My Room Shin-ichi Fukuda, Takemitsu: Complete Original Solo Guitar Works I feel that the 3 composers that created these albums represent the 3 sides of my musical personality. These 3 sides are intimate individualistic (Ichika Nito), deeply human comfort (Jacob Collier), and explorative complexity (Toru Takemitsu). Tell us why you chose this song. “A Thoughtful Prayer in Suffering Live” The text for this song came directly from verses of the bible which I used to form a thought narrative that I myself experienced at one point in my life. I also sang/recorded all the parts of this piece myself while I was composing this piece. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Conducting the large orchestra in the recording session of "An Adventure of Love" is definitely my favorite memories in my career so far. The enveloping rich sound of that many players in a room in front of a podium is unlike anything else. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I'd love to create an album or film score that heavily incorporates guitar/bass guitar techniques from my favorite guitarists in a way that simply couldn't be created by any other instrument.
