In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was finally old enough to go down into the basement and play by myself, I would open up my dad's guitar case, scrape the open strings, and listen - the sound of it, everything and nothing, chaos and harmony, on and on, made me feel so alive. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Dan Deacon, Gliss Riffer Dr. John, Desitively Bonnaroo John Denver, Rocky Mountain High Desitively Bonnaroo - I can always count on it. It's just the greatest combination of all my favorite things in one place. Gliss Riffer, the powerful and fun ride start to finish. Rocky Mountain High, for how it makes me feel to good to be human. Tell us why you chose this song. “Awakening” I made my first album at home in 2020, and I really loved making this track in particular. I was experimenting a ton with the synths, having fun mimicking nature. Writing the lyrics brought me a lot of hope in the despair, comfort in the discomfort. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? My wife, Brittany Hölljes, and I were on an acoustic tour together this past Spring, and we played in Chicago at this small cabaret venue, Davenport's. Dim lights, great sound, and an extremely intimate crowd. It was supremely cozy and comfortable. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I'd still like to play with the symphony one day.
