Hailing from the rustic Southern California mountain town of Idyllwild, Throw the Goat are a mighty trio of rockers with a straightforward and gutsy approach to their brand of punk and metal. Formed in 2012, singer/bassist Michael Schnalzer, guitarist/singer Brian Parnell, and drummer Tim Olivier quickly established themselves on the SoCal circuit, releasing their debut album, Black Mountain, later that year. Following a 2014 single, "8 More Minutes," they delivered their sophomore album, Blood, Sweat & Beers, in 2015 via their own Regurgitation Records imprint. An EP, Vote Goat, arrived in 2016, as the Goat continued to defy easy classification by throwing thrash, stoner metal, and classic punk into the mix. With drummer Troy Whitford now behind the throne, they recorded their third album, The Joke's on Us, which was released in January 2018. ~ Timothy Monger
