About The Reddings

This Macon, Georgia group was the brainchild of the sons of Otis Redding, plus cousin Mark Locket on keyboards and drums. Vocalist/bassist Dexter and guitarist Otis Redding III teamed with Locket on 1980's The Awakening for Believe in Dreams/Columbia, then did two more LPs for Polydor, If Looks Could Kill in 1985 and The Reddings in 1988. Their biggest hit was "Remote Control," a number six R&B single in 1980. ~ Ron Wynn
