In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. "Dan and I sat down in our bedroom as young men and began jamming to Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings. We slowly began to write sappy country songs, And from there, we met the guys and it was onwards and upwards!"--Ranger Mike (Lead Vocals) What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Dwight Yoakam, The Very Best of Dwight Yoakam Jesse Daniel, Rollin' On Silverada, Steak Night at the Prairie Rose Rollin On is in our opinion one of the best country albums out there, and became a major inspiration for us. Steak Night was hugely inspirational for doing things "our way", & Dwight was one of our very first inspirations in music! Tell us why you chose this song. “Quartzsite Saloon” This was the second song Mike Abell (Lead Vocals) ever wrote, and has become a staple in every one of the Band's live shows. "I wrote a lot of cheesy songs back in the day, this one for whatever reason, stood out from the rest." What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Heading out on our first tour "The Wild West Tour"; all the way to California and Arizona. We met so many good folks out there and can't wait to do it again next year! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Tour the country, making a living with our music & doing it our way; bringing back real country music. And finally, hitting that Grand Ol' Opry Stage together, making the Rangers a country staple for years to come!
