The Plugz

About The Plugz

One of the first Latino punk bands, the Plugz emerged from the fertile late-1970s Los Angeles music scene. The often-overlooked ensemble, fronted by Mexican-born singer/guitarist Tito Larriva, was heavily featured on the soundtrack to 1984’s REPO MAN, and, also that year, members of the band supported Bob Dylan on LATE NIGHT WITH DAVID LETTERMAN. The act eventually morphed into the Cruzados, and, later, Tito & Tarantula, while Larriva also pursued an acting career, appearing in films by director Robert Rodriguez.
