About The Pembroke College Girls’ Choir

The Pembroke College Girls' Choir, active at England's Cambridge University, is the youngest of Britain's major university-affiliated choirs, having been founded in 2018. The group is unique in that, although it is connected to a university, its singers are not university students but are drawn from schools across the Cambridge community. The Pembroke College Girls' Choir was founded by the school's director of music, Anna Lapwood. The group issued its debut album, All Things Are Quite Silent, in 2020. In 2020, the Pembroke College Girls' Choir was heard on the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra's recording of video game music composer Christopher Tin's To Shiver the Sky. In 2022, the choir returned with Celestial Dawn, an album of traditional and contemporary works.
