The Morris Brothers

About The Morris Brothers

One of America's most respected bluegrass gospel groups, the Morris Brothers were formed by a Baptist minister in the 1920s, and throughout their career, their mission was to spread the good news of their savior Jesus Christ just as much as it was to share their impressive musical talents. The band's approach was rooted in traditional bluegrass sounds, dominated by the guitar/mandolin interplay between brothers Herb and Homer Morris and the duo's close harmonies, while their repertoire featured dozens of Appalachian classics honoring their Lord. The group's long career saw them becoming especially prolific as recording artists from the 2000s onward, and 2011's Ridin' the Gospel Rail paired two classic bluegrass themes, faith and railroads, while 2012's Reflections...No Other Fountain and 2013's Our Wonderful Savior saw them doing some of their finest work late in life.
