In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I learnt to play the recorder, trumpet and piano at primary school .. but not to a high standard .. lol ! My dad and his brothers all played guitars. Fascinated by the noises that could be made with an electric guitar, I got my first one aged 14. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Fatboy Slim, You've Come a Long Way Baby Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, End of Suffering PJ Harvey, Stories From the City, Stories From the Sea I love pretty much all genres of music, but in my opinion all three of these albums are iconic. I am drawn to the depth of emotion expressed, and the hard hitting sound - both electronic and rock based - evident in these three works. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Sweet Spot” I chose this song because it's simple, catchy and raw. We live in a complex world and for me creating music is a therapeutic process - freedom of expression and escapism : I think those sentiments are expressed in this song. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Being lucky enough to film a video in London at a real film studio ! I think it was a bit of self indulgence if I'm honest - it was an expensive day and I would certainly create something different today, but a great experience nevertheless. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Absolutely ! - I hope to get out and start performing live after a twenty five year hiatus: time and money are obvious constraints - for us all - but continuation of the creative process of making music and sharing it is paramount.
