Founded in the late 2010s, Philadelphia's psych-tinged, garage fuzz quartet is the brainchild of vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter Brian von Uff. In 2017, he self-recorded and self-released Slacker Paint, a quirky, dynamic, and melodic set which failed to make even a minor splash until its eventual reissue by Stockholm's PNKSLM in late 2020. With recordings already in the can featuring Evan Wall on drums, Andrew Mann on guitar, and Justin Mansor on bass, 2021 brought the powerful and frenetic Somewhere Over the Rowhome EP, before their heavier, beefier second full-length, Esoteric Hex, was issued the following year.
