About The Lyrics

Best known for the snarling, harmonica-driven classic "So What!," this California-based group started as a conventional R&B outfit in the late '50s. With the arrival of vocalist Chris Gaylord and the British Invasion in 1964, the band transformed themselves into long-haired, Rolling Stones-influenced punkers. In addition to 1965's "So What!," the group also recorded songs such as "Wake up to My Voice," "Mr. Man," and "Wait," which have appeared on collections of '60s garage rock. ~ Todd Kristel
