In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest musical memories is sitting around the piano with my mother and three sisters. I also remember hearing the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto in concert. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Academy of Ancient Music, Christopher Hogwood, Hogwood Conducts Handel Oratorios Amsterdam Baroque Choir, Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra, Ton Koopman, Biber: Requiem a 15 & Vesperae a 32 Zefiro, Zelenka: Sei sonate Hogwood's recording of Messiah was a revelation and revealed Handel's beloved masterpiece in a new light. The Zefiro recording of Zelenka took me down a path on which I still walk.Koopman's Biber disc revealed much more than violin sonatas. Bend Thy Bow"” I love the sheer energy, variety and originality of this aria. The soprano solo moving between fiery and tender emotions and the beguiling oboe solo in the second section—together with the powerful interjections from the orchestra. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Performing Pepusch's Venus and Adonis to a sold-out audience in Utrecht after emerging from Covid lockdowns. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? We would love to play the Boston Early Music Festival.
