The Happy

Belgian band the Happy was founded in early 2012, consisting of Isolde Lasoen, Janne Vanneste, Charlotte Caluwaerts, Reinhard Vanbergen from the band Das Pop, and Naima Joris from the Isbells. They all came together sharing the love of collecting records and a fascination for collecting vintage music equipment. The band's sound mixed catchy pop-folk, and contrasting slow- and up-tempo rhythms. Their debut record, Guilty Pleasure, was released in 2013 and featured the leading single "218." The track attracted some attention in their homeland and was playlisted on commercial radio stations, as well as becoming a big hit on Belgian Radio 2. ~ James Pearce
