The Epiphoni Consort

About The Epiphoni Consort

London's Epiphoni Consort was created in order to fill a gap between amateur and professional groups in the city's choral music scene. Its members include individuals who have professional-quality vocal skills but work full-time in other careers. The Epiphoni Consort was founded in 2014 by its current director, Tim Reader. The group has between 12 and 16 members, accepted by audition. In 2017, the Epiphoni Consort made its recording debut, releasing the album David Bednall: Sudden Light. The Epiphoni Consort has appeared at many major British venues and has been heard on BBC radio. In 2020, the Epiphoni Consort issued the album When Love Speaks: Choral Music by Owain Park and, in 2022, Precious Things: Choral Music by Bernard Hughes.
