In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Seeing Dan Fogelberg at the Oakdale Theater when I was five. It was the first time I'd ever heard an acoustic guitar played and it immediately became my favorite musical sound. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Belle and Sebastian, If You're Feeling Sinister Nick Drake, Bryter Layter ((Remastered)) The National, Boxer Bonus Track Version Boxer, in particular the song Start a War, was a gateway drug for all things The National for me. Bryter Layter has my all time favorite song "Northern Sky". And if you can't bop your head to "Get Me Away from Here I'm Dying" something's wrong. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Lonely Afternoon” Lonely Afternoon feels like a transition for me. Stylistically, it contains more electronic and rock sounds than I've used before. I love that its a small vignette that stands on its own outside of my own life and story. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Performing headline shows at Mercury Lounge. Being able to take the same stage where some of my idols started their careers was an incredible experience. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I'm just getting started! Plenty to do. If I could ever be on the same stage as The National, Belle and Sebastian, or The Divine Comedy I'm good.
