In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I couldn't have been any more than three or four years old. My father was a working bassist, and I have these memories (with pictures!) of playing out in a field that had three stages facing in different directions. The dance floor was my playground! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Beth Hart, Fire on the Floor (Deluxe Edition) Green Day, American Idiot Rise Against, Siren Song of the Counter Culture (Deluxe) International Version I have musical influences that stretch from Sister Rosetta Tharpe to Tim McIlrath and everything in between. I chose these three albums because the two of them embody some of my favorites as a child, and one of them embodies singing with pure soul. Tell us why you chose this song. “Tumbleweed” We wrote Tumbleweed on a dreary northern Wisconsin day when a Tumbleweed flew across the road driving home from work. The message is simple - would you rather be blowing in the wind, or do your roots anchor you to the ground? What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? We played Ashley for the Arts in Arcadia, and the experience was one of the highlights of our summer. Thousands of people coming together in one place to enjoy music was an experience that we hope to see a lot more of! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? So many! Playing the Chicago Theatre would be a dream come true! We feel that we have a lot more to say as a band. Whether its releasing more music or headlining a festival, we are hungry to keep pushing the band as far as it will take us.
