About Terry Clarke
U.K. country singer Terry Clarke began his professional career playing country clubs with an American ex-serviceman Buddy Friend in the late-1960s. After releasing the solo single "Lady," for Polydor Records, in the early-'70s, he worked with the folk/blues musician Mike Cooper, playing on his album Life And Death In Paradise. In the '80s, he played guitar for visiting American acts, including Butch Hancock, before travelling to Nashville to record his 1990 debut album, CALL UP A HURRICANE, featuring Flaco Jiminez. His 1991 follow-up album SHELLY RIVER, explored his Irish roots, which he continued on 1997's superb THE HEART SINGS. Clarke’s first release of the new millennium was the jazzy album THE SOUND OF THE MOON. In 2002, Clarke released GREEN VOODOO on his own Little Bear Records label.
