About Teleman

London-based Teleman consist of former members from defunct indie rock types Pete & the Pirates. Originally formed as a three-piece following the disbandment of their former band in 2012, Teleman swiftly added Hiro Amamiya to the lineup to provide percussion alongside the trio of Pete Cattermoul and brothers Thomas and Jonny Sanders. Teleman's sound is intelligent, sparsely instrumented, and full of Beach Boys-influenced melodies, and sits comfortably within the sphere of contemporaries such as Alt-J and Django Django. The four-piece was quickly picked up by Moshi Moshi Records and Teleman's first single, "Christina," was released as part of the label's Singles Club in 2013. Teleman soon entered the studio with Suede guitarist Bernard Butler, who produced their debut full-length album, Breakfast, which appeared in 2014. ~ Scott Kerr
