About Tawiah

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My earliest musical memory is being part of a church girl group called Sisters Of Praise at the age of 4. I remember standing on stage getting lost in the song and the other girls upset with me for catching the spirit and singing too loudly. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bill Evans, You Must Believe in Spring Kendrick Lamar, To Pimp a Butterfly Lauryn Hill, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill is a classic and still feels fresh today. To Pimp A Butterfly will alway remind me of a time in my life when I was going through some things, 'We Gon Be Alright' is my forever anthem. Bill Evans is my go to most days! What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I self-released two EP’s; In Jodi’s Bedroom (2008) Recreate (2017) which I toured with Moses Sumney. My debut album Starts Again (2019) and Ertha (2022) I've worked with artists like Dev Hynes, Kindness, Mark Ronson, Cinematic Orchestra and Kano. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I have toured the world with many wonderful bands, I can't wait to have a headline tour as an artist in my own right!
