In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I grew up as a keyboard player and was interested in Jazz. At 11 I heard Jimmy Smith playing the Hammond B3 and was like "What is that sound?" I was obsessed and went on a quest to find someone with a B3 that I could play myself! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Madonna, Madonna Miles Davis, Kind of Blue Prince, Prince & The New Power Generation, The N.P.G., Diamonds and Pearls These albums reflect early influences of mine as a musician. I love Madonna's pop sensibility. Miles Davis was a jazz icon, and Prince is pure musical genius. He inspired me to see the whole picture of a song through to its production. Tell us why you chose this song. “Jungleflower” Jungleflower is special to me as I channelled the lyrics to the first verse in the inner sanctuary at the Temple Of The Goddess Isis in Egypt. As I entered the temple the words just flowed and I felt as though Isis herself was bestowing her wisdom. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Touring with Kylie Minogue as her keyboardist and playing keys for Michael McDonald on a TV show. Another highlight was playing piano for Stevie Nicks at a friends party in Nashville and also when my band SpaceJunky got a CNN international story. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Yes I'd love to do a theater tour with my music. I love old theaters and would love to bring my music to an intimate setting like that. Although I also love it when people dance and there's not much room in a theater. Maybe I need to rethink that!
