Talibam!

Together since 2003, the New York-based experimental duo Talibam! is made up of Matt Mottel on synthesizer and Kevin Shea on drums. Talibam! play an anarchic brand of electronic free jazz that has caught on with fellow musicians and audience alike. Veterans of the New York avant-garde scene, Mottel and Shea have also played in many other free jazz/noise outfits and their live shows usually feature numerous collaborators and guest artists. Although the duo have put out numerous self-produced CDrs as well as other titles on small indie labels, 2009's BOOGIE IN THE BREEZE ROCKS, issued on the legendary free jazz label ESP-DISK, was Talibam!'s first nationally distributed release.
