About Syntaks

Copenhagen, Denmark's Jakob Skott debuted his heavily processed dream pop productions as Syntaks in 2001. The following year, Skott and frequent collaborators Jonas Munk (aka Manual) and Jess Kahr released the post-rock/IDM hybrid Orion, as Limp. After 2004's Golden Sun, credited to Manual and Syntaks, Skott concentrated on his solo material, releasing Awakes and the limited-edition Below the Meridian in 2006. The former incorporated vocals from Anna Cecilia, who transformed Syntaks into a full-fledged duo. Ylajali, their first proper album as a duo, was released in 2009. ~ Andy Kellman
