Subway to Sally are a true musical hybrid. Based on a heavy metal foundation, Subway to Sally are far from your average metal headbangers as they combine progressive and folk anthems with early music and liturgical references. While a gradual shift away from traditional songs was noticeable from album to album, it wasn't until 1999's Hochzeit that their more aggressive side was fully revealed, but not at the expense of their formative influences. ~ Dave Sleger
