About Strange Tales

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. In 1980 we heard John Foxx and Ultravox. In 1981 Depeche Mode. We immediately liked the sound. In 1984 we bought a BOSS DR-55 drum-machine, borrowed a Yamaha CS-5, overdubbed a tape and made some covers. In 1984 we did our first gig with cover songs. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Depeche Mode, Speak & Spell Duran Duran, Duran Duran Ultravox, The Very Best of Ultravox Songs with strong melodies at their core, a touch of melancholy, and well-quantized beats. Danceable and cluboriented, but also catchy pop music. The MTV generation with neon, ice-cold guys, and Femme Fatales are mixed with unhappy love and drama. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Michelle (feat. Toril Lindqvist)” We used a Roland System-100 from 1975. You can feel the echoes of songs you love from bands like The Human League. You know, when it's hazy and rubs, like there's an extra dimension. We wanted a female part too, and could only hear Toril sing it...
