In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember listening to a lot of classical music as a kid. Stuff like Chopin especially. I would buy new CDs any chance I got and would listen to them on my Walkman in the car. Good times. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Animal Collective, Merriweather Post Pavilion Dirty Projectors, Dirty Projectors The Avalanches, Wildflower The music of Animal Collective shaped me as a young person, and continues to do so to this day. The Avalanches taught me how to sample, and Dirty Projectors were essential for writing lyrics and conveying emotion. So much love <3 Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “To Get Away (feat. Ben Elder)” One of my personal favourites. I love our dear friend Ben's vocals on this one. He brings a unique energy. Also one of my first attempts at sampling. The dance feel is something that we experimented with, and I am content with the results :^) What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I think having In Your Mind get some moderate popularity online was really cool. A lot of people messaged us telling us how much the song meant to them which was really cool. Also just remembering making that track, it was a lot of fun. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Collaborating. Meeting people in music is one of the coolest things. Working with other people is a highlight, and I don't think we would make music the same way if we didn't. Always open for the opportunity.
