About Stovehandle Dan Jackson

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I was born on a farm in Western Tennessee. My grandfather played banjo and would play with local musicians on Friday and Saturday nights in his living room. They would listen to the Grand Ole Opry and then play into the wee hours of the night. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Marty Robbins, Gunfighter Ballads and Trail Songs Stovehandle Dan Jackson, Call Me Stove The Doobie Brothers, The Captain and Me (Remastered) I wrote this album, so it stands to reason I would want to say it is a favorite. I wanted to show my interests with this, my first album. It demonstrates the diversity of my development. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Down the Line” This is one of my first attempts at writing an up tempo, good-feeling, positive song. The funny thing is that its message isn't quite as positive as the melody suggests. I don't know if that was intentional or a happy coincident, but it is mine. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? When I started getting plays and Shazams on Apple for Artists. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Working with a live band and writing new material for live performances. Eventually playing in large halls where they want to hear my music.
