About Spider Saloff

After training as an actress, Spider Saloff began singing in New York CIty in the late 1980s, performing in cabarets with singer-pianist Ricky Ritzel. She began to emphasize jazz stylings and graduated to Birdland, Michael’s Pub, and the Village Gate, where she worked with John Colianni, and Ray Drummond. Saloff moved to Chicago in the '90s, working as a producer and performer of the radio series WORDS AND MUSIC, and touring the U.S. with her Gershwin revue. She has continued to tour, record, and perform into the 21st century.
