In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I started taking piano lessons at 5 years old and music was always an outlet for me to express myself. I came across rap music when I heard Eminem’s Godzilla and fell in love with the art form. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Kendrick Lamar, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers When this album came out it was a hard listen for me because it felt very personal. I think that comes from the weight of Kendrick’s words and delivery and overall production. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Planes (feat. Bryson Tiller)” This song felt kind of out of place on the album because it was an R&B song on a rap album. I decided to keep it on their anyway and it is now the number 1 most streamed song on the entire tracklist. This showed me that different styles can co-exist. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? When Halo with Lil Wayne released in June of 2023 it was a surreal moment for me because I grew up on his music and his collaborators music like Drake and Eminem so it was a very cool moment I don’t think i’ll ever forget. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I want to put out a piece of work that is painfully vulnerable. I want to touch the life of someone like Mr. Morale or Revival did to me. That’s when I think I will be 100% happy with a piece of music.
