In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Space Owl formed as a psychedelic rock band playing compositions by its players primarily with influences ranging from Phish to Grateful Dead to the sounds of Classic British and American Rock n Roll. The first shows were magical. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Frank Zappa, Frank Zappa Meets the Mothers of Prevention Grateful Dead, Blues for Allah Phish, A Picture of Nectar Listen to our music and you will hear the influences of may styles and genres but these albums stood out. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Playing original compositions brings unparalleled bliss. An artisan copies others, many birds can fly, but an owl soars through worlds, returning with its own tales of time and space to share. What tales do you have from the other worlds? Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Space Owl, with shifts in keyboardists and drummers, carries on. Bob Lovelace returns from opening for The Rolling Stones. Ari collaborates with Medeski and Martin of MMW, crafting shared songs even joined by members of Trey Anastasio Band.
