About Sophia Bromberg

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My earliest memory of music is playing the piano with my two older sisters, we all learned to play when we were 5 years old and quickly began singing and harmonizing with each other on our original compositions. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? A Tribe Called Quest, The Low End Theory D'Angelo, Brown Sugar Lauryn Hill, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill These albums epitomize the vibe, technicality, and messages I hope to convey in my music. The complex instrumentation of Brown Sugar, Lauryn Hill's vocals and improvisation, and the incredible lyricism of Tribe: these albums embody the power of music Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Cardamom Princess” I wrote cardamom princess about my experience as a woman of color. Every time I listen to or perform this song, I am reminded that I am beautiful because of my flaws, not in spite of them. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Performing my song "Champions of Change" at Planet Footprint's leadership convention for environmental sustainability. This song, which I wrote about the climate crisis, was nominated for "Best Song for Social Change" at the 2022 Grammys. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I definitely hope to tour across the United States and perform my music to a wider range of audiences!
