In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I wrote my first verse to a song my big bro Tay(Who got me started) featured me on back in 2002. I dropped my first solo mixtape in 2005, back then I was known as Yung Slim. I quickly became a favorite to a lot of the underground listeners. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Freddie Gibbs, Madlib, Bandana Lil Wayne, No Ceilings Starlito, Cold Turkey Wayne is my all time favorite rapper and when he dropped “No Ceilings” I had it on repeat. Lito & Gibbs are also favs because I can relate to the music. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Midnight in Atlanta” I was actually in Atlanta when I wrote this and had a lot of things going on. The beat was like a therapist so I had to spill. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Being locked in the studio with my day one homies and being able to perform at shows with them. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I want to work with at least one of my favorite artist on a song.
