About Simon Taylor & the Sundowners

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember listening to the Top 40 charts when I was 5/6 years old in the car home from my Gran's in Hexham back to the family home in Newcastle upon Tyne. The charts were great back then (around 1984) but there seemed to be a lot of melancholy songs What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Antônio Carlos Jobim, The Wonderful World of Antonio Carlos Jobim Melody Gardot, My One and Only Thrill (Bonus Track Version) Solisti e Orchestre del Cinema Italiano, Ennio Morricone - Once Upon a Time - Critic's Choice Apple didn't show the Ennio Morricone & Antonio Carlos Jobim albums I would have chosen so I have plumped for these more generic best-of's. I am a massive Melody Gardot fan too hence this choice. These albums all influenced the Sundowners' output. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Hard to Care” I wrote this song in 2012 at the end of a long Winter. I'd just arrived in my hotel room in Lagos, Portugal at the start of my holiday, looked out at the glorious scene and wrote this song. It sounds like one big sigh of relief.
