She's Got Claws

About She's Got Claws

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My earliest musical memory was in the 90s when I received my first make shift studio, a D5 synth, An Atari Ste & an Alesis mixing desk. I wrote my first song, Freaky Nature, I was very young & had a lot to learn, but knew this was my ambition. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Air, Moon Safari Gary Numan, The Pleasure Principle Bonus Tracks The Prodigy, The Fat of the Land Inspiring AIR made my heart flutter with their stunning synths and production. The Prodigy's beats which blew me away on first listen, Breathe being a stand out track. So drawn to Numan's brooding dark synths & how he injects emotion into synths. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Utopia” This is my 'go to' track when I'm mastering each album. It has a huge bottom end and is open at the top. Often I find myself singing this song, it has a great feel of positivity as I sing about new beginnings. I can't help but smile at this song. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? When we performed at Leeds 02 Festival alongside The Who and The Flaming Lips. Being backstage was so much fun, rubbing shoulders, and we performed on the stage in the afternoon to a packed tent, we loved it! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? To get back to performing, atm we're a studio band, we love the studio but the stage is where it's at! Another EP in 2023 and more radio play is needed to get to a wider audience. BBC Introducing play us often on their show (BBC Radio Humberside).
