In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. We are the only musicians in our families, so we found music through our local scenes and talented friends. Discovering what we liked by going crate digging at 'Looney Tunes' for cheap used vinyl and listening to 8tracks to find new music. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Erykah Badu, Mama's Gun Hiatus Kaiyote, Choose Your Weapon Stevie Wonder, Fulfillingness' First Finale Stevie's FFF was the first $2 record I bought that transported me. Mama's Gun was the first time I heard lyricism that was so musically intuitive and free. HK laid the foundation for the music we make in it's expansiveness, complexity and creativity. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Terra” This was the song changed our lives. It proved to us that we were able to manifest the kind of music we dreamt of making since we began. The lyrics are grounded in our life's experience and the music itself is a reflection of our love of the art. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? When we played our release show for 'show us it's real' in Guelph to over 170 people. So meaningful to have people sing our lyrics back to us and celebrate our growth as theirs. Wouldn't give up the community and love music brings us for anything. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Releasing a full length studio album, doing a North American tour, and to have been creating, playing and working on this project for 10 years (2031).
