In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My first attempt at learning to play an instrument was the accordion. Somehow, there was the idea that this was a good introduction to playing the piano. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Depeche Mode, Ultra (Deluxe) Morrissey, Vauxhall and I U2, Achtung Baby Lyrically and melodically, Achtung Baby is the most complete album I have ever heard. Sonically, Ultra was ahead of its time -- and perhaps still is. Vauxhall and I is the album I think of most when I think of Morrissey, another favorite artist. Tell us why you chose this song. “What & Why” This was the first true song I wrote, back in the summer of 1996 using a portable Yamaha keyboard. Like many other songs, the song seemed delivered to me, almost fully formed, and it probably just took a day to write and record the demo.
