In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My dad is an amazing musician & his music floats through most of my early memories. I especially remember family campfires on summer nights & falling asleep in old lawn chairs listening to him sing songs by John Denver, Dylan, Cash & so many more. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Lori McKenna, The Balladeer P!nk, Hurts 2B Human Sheryl Crow, C'mon, C'mon The songwriting on all three albums is amazing and I admire each of these female artists for being so authentic, honest and 100% true to themselves at all times. They are the very high bar I want my songwriting to rise to. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “It's Just a Tree” This song was written about a tree I drove by one winter that just wouldn't let its leaves go. It made me wonder why. Once written it would not leave me alone, so I record it, and I'm so happy I did. I feel the song deeply and hope others will too. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I've been a songwriter my whole life. Transitioning from songwriter to a "real" artist through this release and upcoming EP has been transformative. I feel like I am (finally) doing exactly what I am supposed to be doing at exactly the right time. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? So many things. I'd love to do a European tour. I'd love to be a writer on a Grammy-level song...things like that. Mostly though I just want to connect with people...to help one aching heart at a time...that will always mean the most to me.
