Sam Post

American pianist and composer Sam Post, based in Washington, D.C., has developed a trajectory that moves beyond the conventional frameworks of the piano repertoire. His 2021 album Post Bach, a personal and rhythmically inflected reimagining of Baroque works, offers a clear insight into his artistic approach: revisiting familiar pieces through the lens of American musical traditions, particularly ragtime and other popular idioms.
