In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I vaguely remember attending a performance of an African ensemble with my father when I was about 3 years old. The way my father tells it, I was fascinated by the instruments and ran up to the band leader afterward to ask a bunch of questions. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bon Iver, 22, A Million Nick Drake, Pink Moon The Japanese House, Good at Falling I chose these albums because they have been my most listened-to albums since joining Apple Music. There really are far too many great albums to pick my 3 favorite all-time albums in general. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “For Her Wedding Day (Remastered)” This song is a montage of shared memories between me and my wife. I wrote it the year we got married and put it on my 2022 release, New Imperials. It was quite literally "for her wedding day." What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? In 2018, I went on tour in Germany for about a month. It was my first time touring internationally, and my music was very well received. I remember showing up to venues where people I had never performed for knew the words to my songs. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? There are some venues and festivals at which I would like to perform. One would be Red Rocks in Colorado. Another would be AmericanaFest.
