About Riggs

This Californian quartet was founded by vocalist/guitarist Jerry Riggs in 1981. With Jeremy Graf (guitar), David Riderick (bass) and Stephen Roy Carlisle (drums) completing the line-up, they specialized in hard-edged, metallic pop, with considerable crossover potential. Riggs on vocals was particularly distinctive, sounding not dissimilar to Bryan Adams. Their debut and only release remains an undiscovered gem of infectious and classy AOR. They were unfortunate in that they lacked a strong visual image and, without a strong promotional push, the project was doomed. Disillusioned, they disbanded, with Jerry Riggs later going on to play with Pat Travers.
