Chilean pop/rock threesome Raiza was formed in 2000 by drummer Yuri Hevia (who previously participated in DeKiruza and Illapu recordings), guitarist Ernesto Kong, and singer/bassist Gustavo Figueroa. The band signed with Sony Music after recording a demo with five original songs. Playing a refined type of Latin rock, the band teamed up with producer Andrés Sylleros to record their debut album, Claroscuro. They soon debuted on MTV Latino with "Nacer En Vida." ~ Drago Bonacich
