I remember riding with my grandma down the highway in Riverside, California listening to the Temptations Greatest Hits album and singing along to The Way You Do The Things You Do. We had the windows down and we enjoyed ourselves all the way home. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Black Star, Mos Def & Talib Kweli Are Black Star Jill Scott, Who Is Jill Scott?: Words and Sounds, Vol. 1 OSHUN, bittersweet vol. 1 I am a writer first and foremost so I find the poetry in Jill Scott's work very inspirational. The Black Star album was the one that showed me what hip-hop truly is. The OSHUN album showed me how to evolve hip-hop in a way that represents me. Tell us why you chose this song. “Coffee (Dark Roast Cut)” I wrote this song in 2019 about what it looks like to live in the ease of love and enjoy the sensuality that comes with it. "Coffee" is fun, flip, and the perfect song to start the day after a long night.
