About Ragged Oak

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was 13 years old, I got an electric guitar for my birthday, with one of those old Line 6 amps that had an "Insane" mode. To get to press a button and hear all of that distortion made me feel like my rock heroes. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Ben Howard, I Forget Where We Were From Indian Lakes, Absent Sounds Manchester Orchestra, A Black Mile To The Surface I love records that have a narrative, and are full of emotion. I think that A Black Mile To The Surface is a perfect album that I could listen to every day, but I love how the lyrics and sounds in each of these have such an intentional relationship. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Winter” Winter is a song that when I first heard it I knew I had made something bigger than me. This song was not just an expression of feelings, creativity, but was something that feels like it was made for me too. It's a song nobody can ruin for me. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The album release concert for "Letters to God, Man, & Myself" was a moment I'll never forget. To see all of these people enjoying and connecting to this music, and to get to play with my best friends is a gift that I hope never to take for granted. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? It's a pipe dream, but I grew up in Colorado's front range, so playing Red Rocks is the ultimate bucket list item.
