About Raffi Besalyan

Pianist Raffi Besalyan has established careers in the U.S. and internationally, performing in the grand Russian pianistic tradition. He serves on the faculty at Georgia State University in Atlanta. Besalyan has served as guest artist at the Takatsuki Music Teacher's Association of Osaka, Japan. Besalyan made his recording debut with the album Dance, Drama, Decadence in 2012. His 2015 album, The Return, featured music by Rachmaninov and Armenian composers. Besalyan returned in 2021 with the recital The Sound of Black & White, programming Khachaturian, Gershwin, and Oscar Levant.
