Duke Ellington, Such Sweet Thunder Miles Davis Quintet, Miles Smiles Wayne Shorter, Speak No Evil (Rudy Van Gelder Edition) (Remastered) Wayne Shorter's playing and compositions on Speak No Evil really speak to me. Such Sweet Thunder is a masterpiece of synergy between band and compositions. Miles Smiles is a pinnacle of small jazz group playing with infinite directions possible.
