About Quatuor Agate

Quatuor Agate is a string quartet that earned major prizes and toured internationally not long after its formation. The members of the Quatuor Agate are violinists Thomas Descamps and Adrien Jurkovic, violist Raphaël Pagnon, and cellist Simon Iachemet. Soon after its formation, the group was touring Corsica and had formed a CorsiClassic Festival that continued to operate as of the mid-2020s. The Quatuor Agate amassed a strong record in prize competitions. The group scored a major breakthrough when it won the auditions of the Young Classical Artists Trust in London in 2021. Shortly after that win, the quartet was appearing in major European halls. In 2023, the Quatuor Agate made its recording debut, appearing on the album We have tomorrow by tenor Eric Ferring. The quartet received an ECHO Rising Stars designation from the European Concert Hall Association in 2023.
