About Quantic

"Quantic" is the catch-all moniker for U.K.-born musical polymath Will Holland. A world-class DJ, genre-blending multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer, and label owner, his dozens of recordings and productions cut across EDM, jazz, soul, and funk, and global traditions from cumbia and bossa to salsa, Afrobeat, dub reggae, and more. His 2001 debut album, The 5th Exotic, is a trance classic. His revue-style Quantic Soul Orchestra (with Alice Russell) released Stampede in 2003. He moved to Cali, Colombia in 2007 and formed Combo Barbaro to record Death of a Revolution. 2012 saw the eponymous debut by Ondatrópica (his acoustic cumbia orchestra co-founded with Mario Galeano), and the self-titled effort by Los Miticos del Ritmo. He emigrated to New York City in 2014 and issued Magnetica, and in 2015, he debuted his jazz project A Western Transient's A New Constellation. In 2017, Quantic and Nidia Góngora released Curao, followed by Almas Conectadas in 2021.
