About Puddle of Mudd
American rock band Puddle of Mudd had its biggest success in the 2000s with a string of alternative and mainstream rock hit singles, starting with 2001’s “Control.” ∙ The Missouri group released an EP, 1994’s Stuck, and an album, 1997’s Abrasive, before Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst signed them to his label, Flawless Records. ∙ In 2001, Puddle of Mudd’s major-label debut album, Come Clean, rose to the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 chart and produced four hit singles. ∙ The band won four 2002 Billboard Music Awards, including Top Rock Artist and Top Rock Song for their biggest hit, “Blurry.” ∙ Frontman Wes Scantlin was listed among the Top 100 Heavy Metal Vocalists by metal/hard-rock music mag Hit Parader in 2006. ∙ Welcome to Galvania, their 2019 LP featuring the hit single “Uh Oh,” was their first album of new material since 2009’s Volume 4: Songs In the Key of Love & Hate.
