Primitive Parts are a London-based rock trio consisting of Male Bonding alumni Kevin Hendrick (guitar) and Robin Christian (drums) and Sauna Youth member Lindsay Corstorphine (vocals/guitar). The genesis for the band dates back to 2012 when the three were working at a record shop. Their initial idea was to start a project that might resemble "Stiff Records in the '60s." Citing a wide variety of influences like the Kinks, the UV Race, Swell Maps, and early Brian Eno, they released a handful of singles in early 2014, eventually signing with Trouble in Mind in early 2015. Recorded simply to analog tape over the course of a few days, their debut LP, Parts Primitive, was released later that year. ~ Timothy Monger
