England's Paula Temple is a highly respected DJ and producer of hard, uncompromising techno, and a technological innovator. Temple co-developed the MXF8, a MIDI controller designed for live performances. She made her recording debut in 2002 with an EP that received attention from techno's elite; Jeff Mills included the track "Contact" on his 2004 mix CD Exhibitionist. Temple utilized the MXF8 controller during her hybrid live/DJ performances, and toured steadily until 2005, when she became a teacher. Eventually she relocated to Berlin and began making music again. R&S immediately signed her, and Colonized appeared in 2013, followed by Deathvox in 2014. Temple also launched the Noise Manifesto label, which released the Decon/Recon series of collaborative 12" EPs. ~ Paul Simpson
