In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Jr year of college was the year I realized that I wanted to be an artist more than I wanted to be a scientist/ doctor. I understood it was different ways to heal people so I switched lanes. I still finished school out of respect for my mom though. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Kiana Ledé, KIKI Nao, Saturn Smino, blkswn These albums remind me of what music is supposed to be. These tracks take my mind, body, and soul on a rollercoaster and have made better artist and person. Theses are the three albums I would take with me if I was stranded on a deserted island. Tell us why you chose this song. “Vacant” This is when I realized that home is where I am and choose to be, not where I was born. Vacant is a testimony of my experience of entering adulthood and watching everything that made my childhood disappear: friends, lovers, and family included.
